The lakeside location, view, and private dock were all great, and I enjoyed staying here for a few nights. My only reason for not giving five stars was the mosquitoes. Since the hotel is right by the water, I understand they’ll be around, especially with doors or windows open for air. In the morning and evening, I kept swatting them while eating breakfast and trying to sleep. Some window or bed netting would help. Otherwise, everything about the hotel was great.

The food was full of flavor, with a great selection of dishes made from fresh local ingredients. Staff were warm and attentive, and the calm, inviting atmosphere made dinner feel special. The view of the shining lake and green surroundings is breathtaking. It’s a hidden gem for both the food and the setting, and I highly recommend it.

Our room was a little small, but we had an amazing lake view, and the hotel’s location is perfect. The hospitality was very good, and Mrs. Idinger welcomed us with a smile and was very friendly. It was hot on our first summer night, so a table fan in the room would have helped. Breakfast could also be improved, perhaps with fresh croissants and cakes. Still, we had a comfortable, enjoyable stay.

The lakeside terrace was a nice extra, though towels weren’t provided for it. We slept well in our clean room, and breakfast was decent. The decor is a little dated, as you might expect at a family-run hotel. Reception felt short-staffed, with long waits both to check in and out. Even so, it’s a good place to stay in Fuschl.
