Walking the cows out to pasture for the evening and lending a hand with a few farm chores made our stay feel really special. Maria and family were such welcoming hosts. The spacious, clean home sits high on the hill, with fantastic mountain views and lovely Austrian countryside all around. We had a wonderful time at Appartement Reitlhof and would gladly come back.

The drive up was quite a challenge for me as a Sunday driver, though after a couple of days it felt much easier. Once there, we loved the quiet, fresh air, green fields and forest, and the wonderful facilities. Really, everything was lovely.

The kids had plenty of room and lots of animals to pet and feed, and we all enjoyed the generous breakfast with fresh regional products. Krispl Reitlhof turned out to be a great choice for our spontaneous New Year's trip to the Alps. The hosts were wonderful, the accommodation excellent, and the Salzburg area was easy to reach by car. We were so pleased that we returned for a second visit, and it was just as good as the first. This time, the children had fun helping feed and clean the cows, and learned from it too. It's a great base for exploring around Salzburg and Hallein. Thanks to our hosts, and we hope to see you again!
