The rooms were comfortable and good value. Breakfast had a great buffet, with delicious food and friendly service. A great restaurant too.

The staff were extremely polite, and the food was excellent across the board. We were three people without a reservation, which was a small mistake given how popular the restaurant is, but they still found us seats at the regulars' table. Thank you for that. We started with an excellent spread of bread rolls, including nut and olive bread, salted bread sticks, and white bread, with horseradish and truffle spread, a Liptauer-like orange spread, olive oil, salt, and pepper. The starter was included in the price. The parmesan foam soup with basil was beautifully balanced. We also tried a non-alcoholic cocktail. It was very good, though sweeter than I like; the other two enjoyed it. For mains, I had tender roast beef with onions, parsley potatoes, and sauce. The burger meat was tender and spot on, served with fries, pickles, onions, and mustard, though we couldn't tell whether the pickles, onions, and mustard came with the burger or the roast beef. The lamb in curry and pumpkin sauce with rice was also excellent, cooked just right and full of flavor. So far, this has been the best food I've had in Austria for the price. The restaurant is well worth recommending, and being 15 minutes from the airport makes it very appealing.

This family-run place was full of surprises, and you’d need more than one night to try the whole menu. If you’re after Michelin-starred cuisine, don’t waste your time here. Highly recommended for a family weekend in a sunny Australian village.
