Hotel - Pension Gampelerhof

I really like this hotel. I know the owner very well, and they’re all so, so nice.

The food was excellent, and breakfast had lots of different choices. We also had a big room in classic Alpine style and half-board at a very reasonable price. What stood out most, though, was the pleasant, attentive service from everyone we spoke to. They even sorted out our mix-up with a ski pole without making a fuss. It’s getting harder to find a room for just a weekend in peak winter, so we were very glad the three of us could spend a weekend at the Gamplerhof while visiting Ischgl. We’d love to come back.

Magnus, the owner, personally leads and maps out beautiful walks a few times each week. There’s good food and drinks from a set menu, plus coffee and kitchen a few afternoons a week. The staff do all they can to make guests comfortable, and everyone has a kind word. They wave you off like family. It’s a welcoming hotel with lovely people, the kind of place guests return to year after year.

We’ve been back to Gampeler Hof every year for over 10 years, and it feels like home. The area is great for excursions, walks and bike rides, and Magnus, the owner, personally leads a variety of tours for different experience levels. The food is freshly made, delicious and creative, with new dishes to try. The warm, family-like welcome makes you feel comfortable right away, and no request goes unanswered. We’ll definitely return and highly recommend it.
