You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — Bucheben Ski Lift, Stubnerkogelbahn Gondola and Bad Gastein Ski Resort.

I enjoyed the hotel room and the views, but I was disappointed that breakfast had no basic vegan options, like soya milk or vegan butter. We asked about vegan food in advance, so in 2025 it felt very unusual that the food wasn't labelled. I know breakfast is included in the price, but not everyone wants to eat animals. I'd love to see some basic vegan products and clearer labels in future. Thanks anyway!

After a long trip through 7 European countries, this was the best hotel we stayed at. It was great value for the money, with very friendly staff, comfortable beds, and a few little souvenirs waiting when we arrived. There was also a bottle of water in the room and plenty of free parking bays. The landscape from the room is beautiful, and breakfast was delicious. It's our new favourite hotel in the Alps, and I can highly recommend it if you're in the area.

After a day on the slopes, the jacuzzi is a lovely way to warm up and ease your muscles. It costs just 5Euro per person, and feels private and romantic without being expensive. Take a drink from the hotel bar along with you. The hotel is close enough to StumberKogelBahn to walk there with your ski gear, and there is free parking by every ski center if you prefer to drive. Families can get half board at a reasonable price, so meals are taken care of. The staff are friendly and helpful, and always ready with advice.

We spent three nights here in August while visiting Bad Gastein. The location is good and so is the price. Staff are young and friendly. Breakfast was ok, though the bread could have been fresher.
