Gasthof Oberwirt and Hotel Elisabeth

The reception was okay, but the staff member we asked for the simple Wi-Fi password was extremely rude. We were shocked by his response. I've visited many cities and countries, but never had an experience like this. He was racist toward us. The hotel itself wasn't good, and that behavior made the stay even worse.

The food was good, but the service felt odd. While we were having lunch, they kept vacuuming the restaurant. The waitress seemed more focused on the vacuum cleaner than on her guests. I just don't understand it.

Only after dinner did we find out they couldn't take card payments, so I actually had to walk downtown to get cash. They didn't apologize or offer a drink or anything as an apology.

The hotel is a three-minute walk from the ski lift, so it's easy to get onto the piste early. Luigi's turbo bar is right at the lift, and chin chin is about seven minutes away. The staff are friendly and keen to give good service. Breakfast and dinner both have plenty of options, and the half-board plan works for vegans too. Just note that dinner ends at 8, so it won't suit you if you like to stay out late after apres-ski. We enjoyed our stay at hotel Elisabeth. It combines modern facilities with old-fashioned Tiroler design. The rooms are quite large and can sleep up to four. The interior is nice but a little dated. There are plenty of outlets for chargers, but if you're bringing a playstation, pack an extra socket divider since there's only one by the TV. The bathroom is big, with a bath and shower, but the tub takes about 15 minutes to fill. Showering is awkward because there's no curtain or screen, so water splashes across the bathroom. At least they provide fresh towels daily, which you can use to dry it off. A very decent hotel for a great winter sports trip, with nice facilities including a spa, swimming pool, and stube.
