The room was unbelievable, with fantastic views across the lake, and the location was unbeatable. The whole team was incredibly friendly and helpful, even though they were obviously very busy. Service was excellent, and the food and drinks were outstanding and very reasonably priced. I don’t understand how this hotel has only three stars instead of 4+. I can’t think of another hotel in Austria I’d happily drive 260 km to for a single private night, not for business. Worth every penny and every kilometre, from check-in to checkout.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout the visit. We also loved the live piano music. It gave the evening a relaxed but elegant feel. The restaurant has a breathtaking view over beautiful Traunsee, and the seafood was outstanding, fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly prepared. Every dish we tried was a delight. Don’t miss the Schoko Miso, a unique, surprising dessert. The whole experience was unforgettable. If this place had a Michelin rating, it would surely deserve a five-star destination. Highly recommend it. I’d come back in a heartbeat!

The restaurant patio has a super excellent view of Traunsee lake, and breakfast was good. The staff were kind, too. Some of the mountain-view rooms are only suitable if you want a cheap place to sleep, not for tourists.

The food was superb, and the hotel staff were very helpful. There’s plenty to see and do, and make sure you take a cruise on the lake. Great location and great views. Best holiday ever.
