Hallstatt Hideaway - Adults only

My wife and I were bowled over by the hospitality and can’t recommend this establishment enough. The room and grounds were clean, and the room and setup were obviously Fabulous. On-site and administrative service both deserve special mention. I’ve stayed elsewhere in town before and enjoyed that too, but this place put it in the shade. You won’t be disappointed if you book here. We’re already eager to return. Ausgezeichnet!

We stayed in two different suites and had no issues, with great service from the staff. It’s right in the old town, in a historic building that has been renovated into a luxurious place. The suites are cozy and charming, with old-style wood, jacuzzi hot tubs that are especially nice in cold weather, fireplaces, and modern spa facilities on site. It has the charm and luxury we wanted. Compared with the standard Hallstatt accommodation, which is more like a basic bed and breakfast, this is probably the nicest place in town. There are stairs to carry your luggage up, but that’s how things are laid out around town. Don’t believe the negative reviews.

Finding the hotel was quite an adventure. It took us 40 minutes, there were no signs pointing us to it, and hauling our luggage through Hallstatt in the heat was tough. There are lots of stairs, too, and cars can’t drive through town unless you live there, so our driver dropped us by the parking garage near the tunnel. Still, I’d recommend it for that view. Our room and space were amazing, and the owner was kind and welcoming. For 25 euros per person, they put on a beautiful, delicious breakfast spread. We slept looking at the stars and woke to fairytale scenery, like Arendelle from Frozen. The name Hideaway really suits the location.

We loved how peaceful and cozy the place felt, even though it was right in the heart of Hallstatt. From our room, we could take in the full, breathtaking scenery, and the property was beautiful, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The manager was exceptionally kind and took great care of us throughout our visit. Management also generously gave us free access to a private sauna, which was a fantastic experience and added a lot of value. We highly recommend it for families looking for a relaxing, memorable stay. Our family truly enjoyed our time here, and we sincerely thank the management and manager for their hospitality and excellent service.
