We had a very spacious room, number 301, though I’m not sure all the “large rooms” are as big as ours, which was accessible for a wheelchair user. The funky furniture and pictures gave it character, and the well-insulated windows kept things quiet despite the main road. It’s a trendy boutique hotel mixing modern and baroque style in a historic building in Innsbruck’s charming old town. Reception and the popular cocktail bar are on the top, sixth floor, where breakfast is served too. The young, motivated staff made us feel welcome and offered a welcome drink of our choice. You can tell the owners invested in turning the old hotel into a little gem. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was a real highlight each morning, with lots of fresh choices and scrambled eggs made to order. The room was spotless, modern, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable to come back to after sightseeing. Staff were gentle, warm, and polite from check-in through check-out, and we felt well cared for. We stayed three nights at Altstadthotel Weisses Kreuz, right in the heart of the old town. It was easy to explore on foot, use public transport, or pop back for a break. We were also given a complimentary city Welcome Card, perhaps because of the length of our stay, with extra discounts and benefits around Innsbruck. A great bonus. I’d happily book here again without hesitation if I return to Innsbruck. It was a wonderful stay, and I’d highly recommend it for the location, service, and quality.

The staff were the warmest I’ve experienced at a hotel. They met us downstairs with our luggage, took us by lift to the top-floor check-in, and offered us a choice of drinks so we could unwind after the journey. Everyone seemed to enjoy their work, and they were friendly without hovering. There was a good spread at breakfast, including plenty for vegans and vegetarians. Cooked eggs and meat were available in a small selection on request. The room was lovely, though there were a few signs of wear. If you’re a light sleeper, you might prefer a room away from the street. It was generally quiet, but we heard street cleaners and people out enjoying the city at night. Innsbruck isn’t especially rowdy after dark, but sounds carry up because of the hotel’s location. Also, the shower cubicle is in the room itself rather than in a separate bathroom, something to consider if you’re sharing with someone you’re not close to. We’re looking forward to coming back next year. The location was perfect, and we got a great price for our stay.

This was our favorite hotel on a two-week trip around Austria. The service was exceptional, and we’re especially grateful to Angelina and Sophia in the bar and restaurant for being so kind and attentive to detail. I’m still thinking about the delicious food and cocktails. My husband and I would highly recommend staying here and hope to return.

We were a little confused to find check-in and the lobby on the top floor, but the welcome was exceptional. The lobby also serves as a stylish bar and dining room, and the included welcome cocktail was a lovely treat after a long train ride. The service was amazing, and by the end of check-in we felt like VIPs. The rooms were on the small side, but comfortable enough since we didn’t plan to spend much time in them. The location was perfect for exploring Innsbruck, with the main Christmas market on the same street as the Golden Roof attraction. We stopped by the bar one evening, and the bartenders made us feel welcome. The drinks were tasty too. We had a great stay. The Alpine Zoo in town was awesome.
