Hotel Garni Alpenland

A comfortable place to sleep and unwind, with tasty breakfasts and very nice service. The wellness area is pleasant, and both parking and a ski room are conveniently available on site.

The steep hill up to the hotel made getting back after a full day of skiing exhausting. In the morning, walking down to the stop in ski boots was difficult too. The town is one ski bus stop from its first gondola station, and the route goes through a tunnel that isn’t suitable for hikers. The hotel suits quiet families and couples. It’s not a good fit for groups looking to have lively dinners in the apartment or enjoy evenings out, so I wouldn’t recommend it for that kind of trip. Our three-bedroom apartment was roomy and comfortable. The living room and kitchen were well equipped and fully usable. The bedrooms weren’t especially large, but the mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, the spa was varied, well designed, and spotless, and parking was available in the garage.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel had everything we needed for a skiing trip. Breakfast starts at 7:30 AM, though, which is late if you want to be on the lifts when they open. We also didn’t have a refrigerator in our double room, not even a mini one. Otherwise, the hotel was okay.

The staff were all exceptionally friendly and committed, and breakfast had a very good range of choices. The wellness area felt fairly new, was high quality, and had plenty of space. My room also seemed relatively new and was functional rather than fancy, but it did the job. It was quiet for Ischgl, especially considering the location, though now and then you could hear other guests in the hallway, even at night. It wasn’t too disruptive. The hotel is modern and offers very good value for money.
