The rooms looked like they were furnished in the 1980s, and getting around the property was difficult. Waldhofstrasse is so tight that parking or maneuvering in front of the building is a real challenge. The owners never said goodbye. After taking our luggage out through the main entrance, we rang the bell to pop back in and say farewell, but nobody answered, even though we could see them behind the windows. Strange. The room was freezing at night with the heating off. We spent the night cold, then at 7:00 a.m. asked them to turn it on. The landlord came into our room while we were still in pajamas to bleed the radiators. Completely unacceptable when you're trying to sleep in. We should have mentioned it earlier, apparently, but how would we know the heating was off in Austria in February? It was +2°C outdoors, yet felt like -10°C in the room. On departure day he came back at 9:50 a.m. and banged loudly on the door several times, insisting we leave right away. We knew checkout was 10:00 a.m. and were just getting ready. The landlord and his daughter were both very unfriendly. There was no welcome, just an immediate demand to move our car, even though it was in a free space. I wouldn't recommend this place. In Austria, you expect a different standard of quality and friendliness.
