We spent most days walking in June, heading straight out from the guest house onto paths full of wildflowers. It's right at the top of the Kals valley, just before the trails up the mountain. Frau Rögl was kind and helpful even though our German wasn't very good. Our room was airy and spacious, with a balcony and a view down the valley to the next mountain range. Breakfast was included, with homemade bread, lots of other things, and the best homemade yoghurt I've ever had. For other meals, we could eat at the hotel next door, which was nice. Mostly, though, we walked up to the mountain huts for a big lunch, then came back for a drink and snack. There was a fridge for guests on each floor, plus a cooler with drinks and ice cream. We loved this beautiful, relaxing place. It really was perfect.

We loved everything here, and the view was amazing. The family gave us a warm welcome, served a great breakfast, and were wonderful with the kids. They also had suggestions for trips and hikes every day.

The only downside was the tiny shower, literally 2ft x 2ft. Otherwise, this was an excellent bed and breakfast. The hosts were kind and welcoming, with lots of tips for local hikes. Breakfast was excellent too, and drinks with the other guests were great. There's a shoe and bike mud room, and the bus stop is right out front.

We'd definitely come back to Lanhdaus Taurer. The remote setting is fantastic for exploring Alpine meadows and peaks, and the family room was cozy and spacious, with a kitchen and utensils. The Austrian interior is beautiful, and the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful.

The owner was super kind and helpful, and the dining room was nice, with food that was great in both quality and selection. The house has a lovely finish, like-new furniture, and well-equipped, comfortable rooms. There's parking at the house, and it's an easy drive to the Grosglockner trail parking lot, about 10 minutes away. Great location for getting to all sorts of trekking roads.
