Fabellhaft! My wife surprised me by booking this hotel after we got good medical news. We normally choose cheaper places, but this one was worth the extra cost 100%. They replied to our email quickly. We flew to Innsbruck and took the train to Kaltenbach, so we didn't need a car. The train station is across the street, and the ski lift is a five-minute walk away. We rented a ski locker at the Talstation/Sport Stock. We had a warm welcome, and after unpacking, went up to the restaurant for an excellent five-course meal. The staff service was excellent too. Our standard room was really clean and comfortable. The wellness area was above standard, with a sauna, bio-sauna, steam room, infrared sauna, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a relaxation area. Norbert the bartender even remembered what we'd ordered the day before! We had a few wonderful days at Hotel Post and would love to come back.

I'm a man in my mid-50s, and I love this hotel and resort. It's only 45 minutes from Innsbruck by taxi. I first visited the family-owned Hotel Post last year with my wife, enjoyed it so much that I returned last week with a friend, and I'm going again in March. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Brits should know this isn't an English resort, which I think is a bonus. The restaurant food and service were perfect for my taste. Special thanks to Margret at the egg station for the fully loaded omelettes. There's a five-course dinner every evening, and you choose the main in the morning from around three or four options. I've stayed in both a junior suite and a small double. Both were spotless whenever I came back from skiing. The suite had a coffee machine, which was nice; I missed having one in the double room. The spa is large and nicely fitted out, with several saunas, a steam room, relaxation rooms, and good-sized indoor and outdoor pools. The hotel is about 250-300 metres from the gondola station. You can hire skis and store them in the same building. One depot locker fits two pairs of skis and boots, but only one helmet. That makes the walk back to the hotel or après-ski comfortable, and your feet will thank you. The hotel also has a large boot room. The slopes were perfect for us again. We stayed on the Hochzillertal side, with a few black runs but mostly wide blue and red ones, ideal for beginners and intermediates like me. We didn't go over to Hochfugen, though you can with the zillertal super ski pass, which you can buy at the hotel reception. All in all, it's an amazing resort. My only issue is that I can't speak better German, apart from "Zwei Bier bitte!" I only got home Friday and already can't wait to see you in about six weeks!

The whole team gave outstanding service, and the food was fantastic. It's in an excellent location near the fast lift up to hochzillertal. Highly recommend it for skiing in Zillertal valley.
