Bergnest - Frühstückspension Katschberg

The rooms were cozy, clean, and excellent value, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good, with the usual options. You can get to the ski room directly from the slope, and there are two little hills along the way where our kids went sledding. The accommodation only serves breakfast, but there are places to eat nearby, so that was fine for us. My one suggestion would be to add a waste bin in the room as well as the bathroom. The ski room is big enough for the guests, though the ski school instructors left a lingering smell there for several hours after changing.

The sauna is brand new and usually pretty empty, and the place is right by the slope. Breakfast had a tasty, decent selection for a small establishment. A few things could be better: reception was often unattended, so it was hard to ask questions; the restaurant downstairs closes at 7 p.m., which is a shame because the food is good; and the sauna shuts at 8 p.m., too early for me. They also don’t provide towels or robes.

The host and staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Bergnest is a beautiful hotel with a modern feel and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was amazing, with local produce, and we can’t wait to return.

The restaurant at the hotel serves amazing food. The hotel itself is very nice, with cozy accommodation, a generous breakfast, kind staff, and a pleasant spot in the Alps with mountain views. Everything was perfect for us at Katschberghöhe.
