The booking fell through even though we’d spoken by phone. The service was very unfriendly, and we ended up at another hotel, which was probably for the best.
The location is fantastic, right across from the Fuschlbad spa, and breakfast was perfectly adequate. Everything was very clean, although the bathroom felt a little dated. The room, a double with a baby cot, was so small we could barely move around. The mattresses were completely worn out, and the wall lamp beside the bed looked ready to fall off. The guesthouse comes across better online than it does in person, as other reviews have said. The guestbook starts with a nice welcome and then immediately lists things guests aren’t allowed to do, including plugging in a cooler. With temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius and baby food for my child, I had no way to keep the food cool. What a shame.
The location is lovely, right at the beginning of town and directly across from the Fuschlseebad. I’ve attached photos from the balcony. It’s a very nice guesthouse with a good breakfast. The bathrooms are very small, but otherwise everything was perfect.
We booked here again for New Year’s Eve, for the second time. Mrs. Aichholzer is very friendly and greets guests warmly. The buffet is generous, with fresh fruit, bread rolls, cold cuts, cheese, muesli, and plenty more. The rustic yet stylish Lock room was clean and well looked after, as always. Great value for money.
