I really liked how quickly they brought drinks and kept our glasses filled. The service was attentive, and the menu had some interesting choices that were a change from the usual food around here. My Chili Steak was full of flavor and a nice change, though the steaks are a little small. Prices are very fair.

We’ll plan a longer stay next time. It’s a small, charming hotel in a handy location, surrounded by gorgeous scenery and a beautiful lake. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and very clean, and breakfast is delicious.

I was glad I made the eight-minute walk over. I didn’t stay at the hotel, just ate at the Steak House. The food and service were great, and the filet was one of the best I’ve had, seasoned and cooked perfectly. It cost about what you’d expect for a filet, not the cheapest, but nowhere near as expensive as some others I’ve had. In a small town like Fuschl, it’s fairly easy to walk there, though you do have to cross a fairly busy two-lane main road. Most other restaurants are nearer the lake.
