Seepark Wörthersee Resort

The room was big, with a separate toilet and a washroom and sink in the room, but it wasn’t ready for guests. The sink area was dusty, sticky, and generally gross. I showed reception exactly what needed cleaning and was told someone would take care of it. There was no apology or follow-up, and nothing changed, or it was cleaned so badly that there was no difference. The furniture looks past its best, the curtains need washing, and the whole place feels worn out. It wasn’t worth 250+ Euros. Check-in didn’t help. Reception just pointed us to the room without explaining where the gym, spa, restaurants, bars, or other facilities were. No local tips or enthusiasm either, just the bare minimum, so apparently you’re meant to figure things out yourself. If a hotel still feels like it gave up years ago, this is the one. Plenty of places still make an effort, so I’d choose one of those.

Everything else was very good, but the bill after dinner on 19.09.2025 was wrong. Several dishes were charged 10 EUR more than the prices on the menu. When we complained, we were told the evening portions were larger and that was why they cost more. We ordered dishes listed on the menu at a given price, so the bill was not correct.

The beds were comfy, the food was great, the location was great, and the service was friendly. But there was no way to control the temperature. It was much too hot at night, and the airco barely helped.

We stayed at Das Seepark Wörthersee Resort on a recent business trip to Klagenfurt and had a positive experience. The location is convenient, and the hotel works for both business and leisure stays. Our rooms were comfortable, the SPA area was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. We’d recommend it and would be happy to return.
