Landhotel Zellerhof

The host was friendly and welcoming, and the quiet surroundings made it easy to recharge. We stayed at Apartment Bergsee, around 300 meters from the Landhotel, with a lovely view and the lake close by. The center, with its supermarket and bus stop, is about 10-15 minutes away. A great place to take a break from everyday life. Highly recommend!

We came for lunch, not an overnight stay, and had a really nice meal. The lively main dining room and quieter side room gave us a choice, and the staff were competent, friendly, and polite. The food was excellent and high quality: we had Steirisches Cordon, the daily Beerlauch Lasagne, and garlic soup to start. Those homemade cookies with the coffee were so good. At about 23 per person, the price seemed okay.

Our group of four had lunch at Restaurant Zellerhof, and we all left full and happy with the meal. The portions were generous, the food looked lovely, and it tasted even better. We tried grilled trout, Wiener Schnitzel, schnitzel Meran, and spinach ravioli with creamy cheese sauce. The trout was fresh and perfectly cooked, the schnitzels crispy and juicy, and the ravioli full of flavor. We finished with apple strudel and ice cream. The old building has a cozy feel, with traditional Austrian decor in the dining room. Service was warm and attentive without hovering, and our waiter offered helpful dish recommendations. We had a wonderful time and would gladly return or recommend Restaurant Zellerhof to anyone after a delicious, authentic Austrian meal.

A clean, cosy place, just a 10-minute walk from the lake, and you can get a very nice breakfast in the morning. The woman who checked us in wasn’t friendly, though I guess these things happen. I’d recommend staying here if you can find a lower price.
