Refugium Lunz

We only came in for coffee, not to stay at the hotel. The service was lovely, the coffee was great, and both the apple and blueberry pies were amazing. And that view of the church, wow!

After a long trip, I was welcomed right away with snacks and a cold drink, and the staff made me feel looked after. I travel a lot for work, and this is easily the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of distinctive local foods, and the breakfast room looks out over amazing hills. I could’ve stayed there all day. Definitely worth visiting if you get the chance.

The staff are very friendly and deliver high-quality service. We felt completely at home and came away refreshed and relaxed. I’d recommend this exclusive place to anyone who values quality and locally sourced food.

Breakfast really stood out, served à la carte with fresh regional ingredients, house-baked bread, and artisan specialties, all carefully presented. Since the restaurant was closed for dinner during our visit, it more than made up for that. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding warmth as well as professionalism. We also enjoyed the peaceful garden, heated pool, and wellness facilities. Right in the charming village, Refugium Lunz makes a convenient starting point for walks and exploring. We stayed in the Kleines Domizil room at Refugium Lunz in Lunz am See. Its contemporary comforts sit nicely alongside traditional character, and the daybed, soft bedding, and balcony views made it a cozy place to unwind. Thoughtful lighting, fixtures, and decor added to the calm. We had a memorable stay that exceeded our expectations, and we’re eager to return and try the acclaimed restaurant when it reopens. Highly recommended for a stylish, restorative break in Lower Austria.
