We'd already paid and couldn't cancel, so we went ahead with the stay, but it wasn't worth it and we won't return or recommend the place. We were told grilling wasn't allowed, even though the listing and options suggested it was. I said we'd be fine just sitting in the garden until the 4 p.m. check-in, but the host wouldn't let us wait there, even though it was raining. We were early and had called to ask. The host mistook me for someone else, and was unfriendly throughout. We also felt that 4 p.m. check-in and 10 a.m. check-out left us very little time. Most places let guests wait in a garden, waiting room, or similar spot until check-in, but even after we asked, we were refused. There was no point discussing it further. I should have paid attention to the Booking.com reviews, which turned out to be accurate: the apartment was dirty, the beds were broken, and there were many other problems. The host is clearly unfriendly to all guests.

The heating knocked loudly through the night and kept both us adults and our child awake, so we were exhausted the next day. The place itself is lovely, well maintained, and really well set up for kids, with a highchair and a bathroom step stool. Entry is by code, and there's parking plus a garden for sitting outside and grilling. A traditional Viennese wine tavern and an Italian restaurant are within walking distance, and Lutzmannsburg thermal baths are at most a three-minute drive away.

We were there, and even took photos. One shows the extra €12.50 we had to pay. Booking said there was a €2.50 per person per night charge, like a tax, and I have a photo of that too, which proves we were actually there. So I don't understand why they say we never showed up and canceled because of a barbecue. That's simply not true. We weren't treated in a friendly way at all. Now they're claiming we didn't even arrive, and it seems they didn't properly check the state of the place. The house was dirty, the beds were broken, and the kitchen was so dirty we couldn't use anything. I wouldn't recommend this accommodation to anyone, and we definitely won't return.

We booked this apartment for the first and last time. The terrace had no parasol, and some furniture looked like it might fall apart just by looking at it. The bathroom sink leaked, and even with the stopper closed, water drained out as soon as we filled the basin. We had no hot water for a whole day, which was disgraceful and a danger to our 10-month-old daughter. Cleanliness was inconsistent, and the kettle overflowed when boiling water. The neighbor's dog charges at the gate so hard you'd think it might break through. The owner's niece was the only person we could contact.
