Our room was simple but had what we needed, with very comfortable beds, a spotless bathroom, and a little terrace looking onto greenery. We brought our two dogs, who were welcome to join us for breakfast in a designated dog area, which was a big plus. The hotel was very clean and well located, and collecting the key from a box worked smoothly. We stayed three days in early September this year, close to grocery stores, local butcher shops, a lovely walk around Lake Achensee, and easy mountain access. Breakfast had hot and cold choices, plus some bubbles if you wanted them. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, always greeting us with a smile. We'd definitely stay again.

We had a great time here. It's a very good hotel, with kind, professional people, a beautiful mountain view, and an excellent location. Breakfast was excellent too, and we could reach most important places on foot.

The location was beautiful, the rooms were nice, the staff kind, the massages superb, and the food delicious. My issue is with what the hotel advertises. It didn't feel like a 4-star experience: the “pool” is just an outdoor above-ground tub, and the “gym” is a small room with three cardio machines. They also charged nearly 5 euros for tap water at dinner. The stay wasn't bad, it just didn't feel worth the price.

A fabulous atmosphere, wonderful service, and a beautiful Tyrolean setting beside a famous, one-of-a-kind mountain lake. It's a great family-friendly hotel. It isn't cheap, but I think it's worth the price. Recommended.
