We stopped for lunch on the way to Lake Achen, and the mountain views were amazing. The food tasted good and service was quick. We got our order mixed up and mistakenly asked for rahmsauce instead of a Wiener schnitzel. When they saw the plate, they kindly changed it for us, even though the mistake was ours.

We arrived late but still got a Kaiserschmarrn. It was tasty, though a little too buttery and soggy. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere traditional, so it was a good experience overall.

On our drive from Munich to Finkenberg, we made a quick stop. Service was perfect and our order arrived in under 10 minutes. The menu was only in German, with no English version, which brought the rating down. The ashtrays in the restrooms had been used and left uncleared too.

The portions here are huge, so arrive really hungry. I had ZWIEBELROSTBRATEN, beef roast cooked with lots of onions, alongside SPAETZLE noodles and a side salad of green lettuce, coleslaw, and cucumber salad. Everything was tender and delicious. I also had a HEFEWEIZEN beer and an ESPRESSO, while my partner chose a CHICKEN SALAD with breaded chicken cutlets on a large mixed salad, followed by a Cappuccino. The total for everything was Euro 37, about $45, so the prices are moderate. The Restaurant is across from the village's historic church, and the beautiful baroque church is worth visiting while you're there. I recommend the place and will return.
