Knunbauer

Lucia was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived, and the apartment was spacious with a fully equipped kitchen. The bed was big and really comfortable, though the pillows felt a bit strange. We had an amazing stay and hope to come back to Mayrhofen and stay there again.

We stayed over Easter 2024 and got a wonderful welcome from our host. The only small drawback was that there's no lift. The apartment is very central, opposite the church, and close to the train station and ski bus. The Penken and Ahorn lifts are also within walking distance. Billa supermarket and the swimming pool are just a few minutes away on foot. Downstairs there's ski storage. Inside, the self-catering apartment is spacious, with two separate bedrooms and their own bathrooms, plus a well-equipped kitchen and dining area. All the bedrooms and the kitchen open onto a large balcony.

We just wrapped up a week's ski holiday at Pension Knunbauer. The place was spotless, the staff and owner Aloisa were very pleasant, and everything was first class. We'd highly recommend staying here. Sam, Christine and Ben. 12/02/2022.

The location made getting around easy: the main attractions are walkable, with a drugstore and supermarket four minutes away. The train station and Greenline stop for the Hintertux Glacier are five minutes away, and the Penkenbahn is another eight minutes on foot. There's also a ski bus nearby. The guesthouse has ski storage with boot warmers and an underground garage, which was especially handy for loading and unloading the car. We booked the Knunbauer family's apartment for a week of skiing. It sleeps up to six and has clean, spacious rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, a dining area that's great for spending time together after skiing, and an extra bathroom that gives a bigger group plenty of room. Booking and communication with the Knunbauer family were smooth and reliable. It was excellent value, and we had a wonderful week in Mayrhofen. ♥️
