The views and peaceful alpine setting made us feel relaxed as soon as we arrived. We loved how comfortable the resort was, and enjoyed our stay surrounded by the mountains. We spent hours in the pool and sauna areas. They’re lovely spaces, with a stylish feel and plenty of room to unwind. The food was another highlight of the stay. Getting around was easy with the scheduled shuttle, which was reliable and a good option if you don’t have a car. With your own vehicle, downtown and nearby train stations are easy to reach too. A spectacular mountain escape.

Finding your way around the hotel is a bit tricky, but after a day you’ll get the hang of it. Otherwise, it was super clean, and the sauna event was great, with plenty more to enjoy. What a place, I’d definitely recommend it. See you soon!

Ian was a star at the bar, mixing outstanding cocktails and giving us great restaurant recommendations. He was always happy to help and a lot of fun to chat with. Anna was the sweetest person I’ve met in customer service in ages, always smiling and ready to help. We were six people, two couples and two friends aged 27 to 46, and she never treated us differently, even though we were Americans in a hotel mostly used by European couples. Thanks to both of them for making the trip so lovely. The hotel itself is stunning, with great views, beautiful comfortable rooms, and a cool spa. The cushy robes and infused sauna experiences were lovely, and I highly recommend the sauna. Just know there isn’t a proper hot tub, so you can get chilly, though the water is heated. Dinner is a five-star, drawn-out meal. It’s really fun to try, though you may not want to go every night because of how long it takes and the cost of drinks, including water.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, modern, clean, and well cared for. The buffet food was very good, high quality, and offered lots of choice. Those were the best parts of our stay, but they didn’t make up for the problems. The ski shuttle was a major letdown. The hotel’s location is difficult for skiers, which makes the shuttle essential, yet it ran only three times in the morning, once per hour, and then in the afternoon. After one trip, the driver waited instead of making extra runs while guests stood outside. Public ski buses were also available, but ran rarely and were often full. Two hotel shuttles sat unused in the garage. One day we finished skiing at 16:40 with neither a hotel shuttle nor a public bus available, so we paid 35 EUR for a taxi. We eventually had to use our own car to ski because we couldn’t get onto the buses. At other, less LUXURY ski hotels we’ve stayed in, the shuttle runs continuously. This was very disappointing. Some advertised activities didn’t happen either. We finished skiing early one day to go to a yoga class, but around seven people waited and no instructor came. The same thing happened with the sauna infusions, advertised daily at 17:30 or 18:30. Guests waited, but nobody showed up. Getting around inside the hotel was hard. The layout feels like a maze, with long distances and everything difficult to find, so arriving and leaving were inconvenient. There was no help with luggage. Reception was also not very welcoming, and its availability was limited because one person handled check-in and check-out and other issues while also working as a bartender. Nobody asked how our stay had been at checkout. I’d have preferred to share this feedback directly, but that’s why I’m writing it here. Coffee wasn’t replenished every day, and on some days there was none in the room. During late dinner there was no cured meat, and the lunch menu was nearly the same every day with very little variety. The hotel’s design makes up for a lot, but it can’t by itself make for a comfortable ski holiday. I’d rate it 2.5/5, though I couldn’t give half stars. There’s definitely potential, but it isn’t well managed. Having Luxury in the name sets certain expectations.
