At 28 degrees Celsius, the lack of air conditioning made the stay uncomfortable. Room 227, about 30 minutes from the centre, was very dated, with worn furniture, fixtures and carpets that need replacing. There were hardly any sockets, and none by the bed. The beds were hard and noisy, the hotel itself was noisy, and the Wi-Fi wasn't great. In the bathroom, orange liquid ran down the wall beneath the sink, and the door handle was only half screwed in. There was no tea or coffee setup in the room. The minibar was overpriced, and it wasn't clear that its contents weren't complimentary. Reception didn't tell us about the sauna. Breakfast was a minimal continental spread with no hot food. Staff were okay, but did little beyond basic interactions. We didn't eat at the restaurant. I don't recommend it.

The restaurant was amazing, especially for dinner, and breakfast was excellent too. Staff were very nice and helpful, and this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. It's fairly close to the highway, though a hill keeps things quiet. The Melk Abbey and town centre are about a 15-minute walk away.

It seems to be a family-run place, and we had a really nice stay. We arrived after 9 pm and the man at reception was approachable; the woman serving breakfast was lovely. The highway is only minutes away, and there's a petrol station nearby.

We paid 100€ for a double bed and breakfast. The room was clean, though the wall could use a fresh coat of paint, and the view was nice. It was a pleasure staying at the hotel. Thank you!

We'd paid in full in advance and arrived on time, but were sent to another hotel 10km away because of "overbooking". That hotel was nearly full too, and the room we got was lower quality. Its manager said, "it's not my problem because you didn't book in my hotel". :-(
