Landhaus Volderau

We could easily walk to the bus stop, and restaurants with local food were reachable in our ski gear. Having a separate ski room meant dry skis and warm boots every morning. The apartment had everything we needed in the kitchen, plus separate bathroom and toilet, which made mornings and evenings easier. We were four in the large apartment, and the beds and pillows made for a really comfortable night's sleep after skiing. It was furnished with lots of care. Anja and Michael were incredibly kind and accommodating, and the apartment was spotless. We were three in a place that could sleep six, and everything we needed was there: oven, four-burner stove, large fridge with a separate freezer, dishwasher, egg cooker, toaster, kettle, plenty of cookware, and even sharp knives. We'd happily come back to Landhaus Volderau. One thing to plan around if you're six: the bathroom and toilet are in separate rooms, so you'll need to coordinate. I won't say more or I might not get a booking slot myself.

That sunny-day view of the glacier from the balcony is priceless. We've stayed here for years, and keep coming back for the comfortable beds and tidy, clean accommodation. The hosts are friendly, helpful, and easy to be around. The village feels peaceful and welcoming, a lovely place to linger in this last proper village before the glacier. Thanks, Landhaus Volderau!

Volderau is small, so you'll need to drive to Neustift for shopping, though bread rolls can be delivered right to the door. There are three excellent restaurants nearby. Anja and Michael give you such a warm welcome that you quickly feel at home. The rooms are fairly newly furnished, spotless, and have what you need. A ski cellar and the ski bus stopping right outside make it a great spot for winter. We'd like to come back.
