We cooked all our meals in the apartment's kitchen, which worked well. The owner was very helpful, and the accommodation was affordable. It's 13km from the valley station for the STUBAI GLETSCHER cable car.

A really nice, affordable place to rent beneath the glacier, in a tiny mountain village.

The listing photos don't match what you find, and the place is run-down and poorly equipped. An extension is being built, so there's no longer a balcony or terrace, and the accommodation is in the middle of a construction site. When I raised the noise, the landlords were very unfriendly. I can't recommend staying here.

The apartment got the job done for our group of 12, but it wasn't a relaxing stay. Two of us had to sleep on the couch in the living and dining area for a week because the municipality had closed off one bedroom. We were told the apartment can only be rented to 8 people next season, not 12. The layout was already difficult for a large group: just two toilets and three showers for 12 people. One bathroom could only be reached through a ground-floor bedroom, and the separate basement toilet had no sink, so we had to use the bathroom sink to wash our hands. The ski area was easy to reach, with two ski bus lines and stops, including one right outside the front door. For a group of 22- to 33-year-olds looking for a cabin near the glacier that could fit as many people as possible, the place was adequate. The cleanliness was poor. There was dried pasta in some corners, and our white socks were no longer white by the end of our first evening. The apartment also felt worn: scratched doors, dirty or badly repaired walls, and awful beds. The mattresses were so thin we could feel the slatted frames through them. Rental income should go toward more comfortable beds. We were repeatedly told the night before departure to leave early. Though the booking and house rules allowed checkout until 10:00 AM, the landlord or landlady arrived shortly after 8:00 AM while some of us were still packing, apparently to start cleaning the basement. We were more or less pushed out. The landlord's wife also cleans the apartment and had to work at 11:00 AM, so she may have been stressed about getting it cleaned early, but that shouldn't be the tenants' problem. The landlord kept asking us to be quiet at 10:00 PM. If you bring a group of 12 people into your house and temporarily use the floor above, you should expect some noise. The apartment was also entered while we were away having dinner, without our tour group's consent. That's a no-go. I won't go into detail about what happened in the accommodation while we were gone. It served its purpose for a group needing a cabin near the glacier, but if you're after quality and especially comfort, this isn't the place.
