The location is hard to beat: the "Gamsleitenbahn 1" lift, local Intersport, a Spar supermarket, and the valley run are right beside the hotel, with several restaurants only a few meters away. The rooms were modern, exceptionally spacious, and clean, and breakfast was good. We stayed five nights for a ski holiday, two couples, and were extremely satisfied. One of our guests had a birthday on arrival day. After we’d arranged it in advance, a package of decorations we sent ahead was set up in the room. We’d gladly return!

Breakfast was sparse, sometimes with no eggs, and there was spoiled fruit at the buffet. When more toppings were brought out, they were placed directly onto the buffet by hand, without gloves. That was not okay. The whole experience felt careless, and I can’t recommend it. The rooms definitely hadn’t been cleaned. We raised and reported this several times right after arriving. Half-empty bottles, some spilled, were left in the drawers, the carpet clearly hadn’t been vacuumed, and the sofa cushions were in the dirty corner behind the sofa. Toothpaste stains left by previous guests were on the WC floor and weren’t removed until the third day. We’ve been coming to Obertauern for 10 years and have never experienced anything like this. It’s a shame the stay will leave us with such a bad memory.

The ski storage room has new lockers, and the location is very central. The staff were friendly, and it’s an excellent bed and breakfast. I can recommend it.

Parking is available on site, and there’s ski storage and a sauna. The apartment hotel is right in the heart of town and very well located. Staff are friendly, and breakfast is good. Reception isn’t always staffed, but someone is there within two minutes. Thanks for the kind hospitality.
