The owners were courteous and friendly, and gave us a map showing local sights and bus routes. It was easy to get around. The lake is a short walk to the right, and the supermarket is just as close on the left. Hallstatt isn't far away. We stayed a few days and really appreciated having the comforts of home.

8/10
The area is great for hiking, cycling, mountain biking, and kayaking, and Hallstatt is nearby, though extremely crowded. You can count the European visitors on two hands. Don't miss the salt mine. The accommodation is on the second floor with parquet flooring, so bring slippers. In 2018 the garage was packed full, even though we had planned to store our kayaks there on top of everything else. It also turned out to be too short. The outdoor terrace couldn't be used because it hadn't been maintained.
