The rooms were cozy and comfortable, each with its own balcony and a fantastic mountain view. Breakfast had lots of tasty options to choose from. The host was friendly, helpful, and funny, and the place offered great value for the price.

We ended up at Haus Rye by chance after our other hotel in Obertraun cancelled on us, and we're glad it worked out that way. The couple running the place were lovely, and breakfast came with a big selection. They were also happy to suggest things to do nearby. I think staying here is much better than staying right in Hallstatt.

It's a very quiet spot, and they prepare breakfast for you. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and will suggest places to visit if you ask.

The owners were lovely and friendly, and I felt completely at home. The breakfast was fantastic, and the bed, sheets, and everything else were impeccable and good quality. I couldn't find anything to fault, even though I'm not easily pleased. You also get great Alpine views. Hallstatt is a 40-minute to one-hour walk away, or 20 minutes by bike. I'd recommend staying here over Hallstatt.

We'd planned to head up the mountains, but the cable car had already stopped running for the day, so we stayed in the village and found this place. What a find. The hostess speaks fluent English, for obvious reasons ;), and the room was clean and spacious, with an amazing view from the bedroom window. Breakfast is worth getting, and the beer costs less than at the restaurant ;)
