That barbecue was unforgettable, and the welcome and service were excellent too. We had a lovely holiday surrounded by nature, with hosts who were just right. Five stars from us. We’ll be back, and hope you stay exactly as you are! 😜

We’re very disappointed. For what we paid, we expected much better, and the online pictures give a misleading impression. We can’t recommend this place. We were told the Tyrolean holiday home had been completely renovated. We’d stayed there with the previous owners and felt very comfortable, so although we thought the price was high, we assumed all the rooms had been updated. That wasn’t the case. Our room was on the third floor, with no elevator. The previous owners had already stopped renting that floor because of its poor condition back in 2008. In our room, only the linens and curtains had been changed. The bathroom was old and cramped, with no showerhead holder. The dents in the shower made it look as if the showerhead had fallen there several times. The bed creaked so loudly it woke us at night. Charging €40 per person for that double room felt outrageous. The room wasn’t cleaned on our second day. When we asked, the answer was that they wanted to respect our privacy, something I’ve never heard from another landlord. It was eventually cleaned after we requested it, but the job was poor. Breakfast cost another €9.50 per person per day and had little variety. There was no fresh fruit, cereal, or regional food apart from the ham. Wi-Fi didn’t work during our stay either. I brought it up for three days, then gave up. I asked for cream cheese like the kind I know locally, and you put Exquisa on the table. We checked the Tirol magazine and found this was the most expensive option compared with much better places offering more. I’m glad to pay more when the description is accurate, but the rooms shown online don’t match reality. The pictures only show the apartments, not the bathroom in the room. The room isn’t renovated, and the bed is a disgrace. You also said yourself that the third floor was in poor shape and should be removed. Charging that price for it is questionable. The offer to move us came only on the fifth day, after you said the other guests were staying in the apartment at the room rate, since there’s only one room. Our view is still that the price and what you get don’t match. The hosts were friendly and helpful, but the room rate was more than questionable. We booked fairly late and couldn’t find anything else. We’d stayed here before under the previous owners and were comfortable then. We thought every room had been renovated, but ours clearly hadn’t. It was on the third floor without an elevator. There’s parking, but the landlord had visitors almost every evening. Even with only two rooms occupied, his guests made it hard to find a space. It also seems you need to make sure you get back down from the mountain in time. The landlord told us about his hunting lodge and was keen to show it to us. We agreed, since we also wanted to visit Zedlacher Paradies. We were already at the alpine pasture near the lodge when a WhatsApp cancellation came through because he had visitors again. We hadn’t been told that fallen trees meant Zedlacher Paradies couldn’t be entered at all, so that trip was in vain. I’m reading the recent positive reviews from a week ago and am surprised. We were there for the last ten days and saw only one other couple. It’s hard to know where those positive reviews are coming from. Addendum: Dear Michael, this is my review. Reviews with the same surname as yours? Very objective! We visit Tyrol several times a year, so we know the usual prices and service. The rooms online don’t reflect what we found, and our opinion about the value for money hasn’t changed.

Michael and Karin made us feel welcome right away. The holiday home was cozy and clean, and the beds were comfortable. We had a fantastic stay and would love to return.
