The terrace had an incredible view, and there’s a Catholic church nearby, which was convenient for us. The place sits high up in the mountains, and the staff were really friendly. Our room was comfortable, with a bathroom that looked recently remodeled, and there’s a swimming pool. The food was fresh and tasty too. I had a turkey salad with yogurt dressing and really enjoyed it.

The day after lunch, one participant even found a clump of dirt about the size of a one-euro coin in her salad. That added to my concerns about hygiene. We were eating here as part of a seminar, and several people vomited soon after the meal while another had diarrhea. The bitter aftertaste and symptoms made food poisoning seem clear to us. The owner, who had cooked the meal, denied responsibility and said we had brought in a virus. That response felt very unprofessional. I can’t recommend the restaurant for food safety or customer service, and I’m posting this to warn others.

We were hoping to catch some sun on the terrace, but it seemed to be closed. Before we even got to the outdoor seating, the owner yelled at us to leave. Unacceptable and unfriendly. If I could, I’d give it minus five stars.
