Hotel Riederhof

We especially liked the activities, with the playground, hikes, and a pool just for our dog. I spent four days here recently with a friend, and we’ll definitely be back. From the food to the clean rooms, everything was as good as it could be. You can tell that the guests and their dogs come first, and that the team has a lot of care and experience with people and their four-legged family members. It’s a place where young and old can feel at home. The service was perfect, and we can warmly recommend this dog hotel. Thanks to the whole team for such lovely days ❤️

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness was good. The hotel feels relaxing for people and animals alike. Dogs can bark without anyone getting bothered, and the dog trainer Jeanette Stork is surely a big reason guests return. She’s incredibly talented at reading dogs and working out which ones would benefit most from training :-). We’d have liked more hearty regional food. For the sauna, a sanarium, also known as a bio sauna, would be ideal: a gentler option at around 50-60°C and 40-50% humidity, with heat, aromas, and often colored light. It can suit circulation and relaxation better than a Finnish sauna. Women in particular, who sweat differently than men, love it. Finnish saunas are better suited to experienced users and building endurance than relaxing. Greetings from Emma and staff

The hotel wasn’t fully booked while we were there, so this review reflects that relaxed atmosphere. Our two Border Collies especially loved the midday dog snack. Dogs are truly welcome here, not just tolerated, and lovely walking trails begin right at the hotel. There’s also a dog run on site for a quick outing, which is handy in the morning or evening. Our room was modern, comfortable, and very well equipped, and everything was spotless. The service was warm, attentive, and professional from the moment we arrived. Food was consistently excellent, varied, and high quality. The outdoor pool is another highlight, and it’s heated even in winter, alongside a lovely spa area. The steam room was often out of order, which was a little disappointing, but only slightly affected our impression. A well-kept, dog-friendly place where we felt very much at ease. We’d definitely come back! 🐶🏔️

The week with dog trainer Jeanette was so informative. She puts in a lot of effort and has a wonderful understanding of dogs. This was our second stay at the Riederhof, and it was fantastic again. The food was incredibly delicious, the service first-class, and every staff member was friendly and attentive. Thanks to the whole team for such a wonderful stay. We’ll be back!
