Alte Mühle

We stayed five days and were really pleased with the place. The four apartments sit around a green courtyard and come in different sizes, with their own furnishings. Even our smallest one, about 30 square meters, had everything we needed and then some: a roomy living and dining area, a bedroom, a bathroom with both a shower and tub, and a separate toilet. The kitchenette had a fridge, sink, and worktop, plus plenty of dishes in the upper cupboards. Highly recommended.

I would never stay here again, even though the place is clean and looks lovely. The first night, our bed broke five times. By morning, everything in the fridge had spoiled because the fridge was broken, right in the middle of summer. The bathroom was almost impossible to use. It's all transparent, hard plastic panels, and the heat inside was so bad we could barely breathe. We also had to pay €30 for the crib for two days, despite saying more than once that we didn't want it because my son doesn't sleep in it. Plenty of other things went wrong, too, but listing them all would take too long. The whole thing was outrageous, and far too expensive for a vacation with so many problems.

The Alte Mühle is well worth recommending. We stayed in the very spacious studio, Apartment 4, where having the kitchenette, beds, living space, and TV in one room wasn't a problem at all. I especially appreciated the two sinks, each with two shower heads, which is generous for two people. Ms. Frank was very helpful, and both the apartment and the whole complex were clean. The kitchenette had all the necessary appliances, and there were blackout blinds. I wasn't bothered by the early morning traffic as much as some people have said. The center is a five-minute walk away, and there's a lovely, good-quality Heuriger about 50 meters from the accommodation.

We were delighted with this charming place and would happily come back. It's central but quiet, and the accommodation was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The hosts were super friendly, and our dog was welcome too.
