Bauer

Caroline, the Reception Manageress, found our missing earpod and arranged to have it delivered back to us in England, which we really appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bauer hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the food was very good with a great selection throughout the week, and the staff were accommodating and professional. We've stayed in Saalbach before, and this hotel's central location is excellent, close to all three lift stations. A great place to spend the week.

The pool has different jets and jacuzzi features in separate areas, plus loungers where you can relax and watch the snow fall. The water feels pleasantly warm once you've tried a few of the options. There's also a sauna. Hotel Bauer is in a great spot in Saalbach's pedestrian area, just a short walk from one of the three ski lifts, and it gives you a warm Austrian welcome. Breakfast is varied and plentiful, and dinner always has an extensive choice. The boot room is small but warm, with lockers for skis and helmets and a heated boot dryer. Rooms are comfortable, clean, and roomy enough for skiers. I'd happily recommend it to ski groups, families, or couples.

The Wiener schnitzel was good, but they don't seem to know the difference between a ribeye and a sirloin, and they wouldn't admit it. I found their business practices dishonest. I recommend not going there.

The dining and service were exemplary, and I'd gladly visit again and recommend this beautiful traditional hotel. My room was a little smaller than I like, though I know expectations haven't always helped me. The spa area is small but has everything you want after a day of biking. Thank you, Silvia and Patryk.
