Arte Vida Boutique Guesthouse

Arte Vida Boutique Guesthouse is perfectly placed for walking to Salzburg’s main sights, while still being quiet enough to rest after a day out. The tourist pamphlets were handy for ideas and tips on local attractions. The owner was very nice and accommodating, which gave the stay a personal touch. I stayed in the loft apartment, which felt cosy and welcoming, with charming decor that made it feel like home. It was very clean, and the bathroom was spacious and beautifully designed. The view from the loft was stunning. A couple of small things to consider: it’s a three-story walk-up, which wasn’t a problem for me but could be hard for some, and a power strip in the living room would help with charging several devices, especially with the twin bed setup there. A warm, stylish place to stay in Salzburg.

We cooked both nights, and it was easy to do with cafes, restaurants, and a grocery store close by. The place is central for all the main attractions, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Out back, there’s a beautiful garden where we enjoyed sitting with a glass of wine. The loft got a bit warm, but opening the windows let it cool down in the evening air. I bet it could get much hotter in the middle of summer. Great place to stay.

Herbert, the owner, is welcoming, accommodating, and a thoroughly nice chap. The guest house itself is wonderful, with a warm, cosy room and a great little bathroom. It’s just around the corner from everything in Salzburg. I’d recommend staying here if you’re visiting.

The hosts did everything they could to make me feel at home in their guesthouse and welcome in Salzburg. My separate studio apartment had everything I needed. I also appreciated being able to use the shared breakfast and coffee facilities and pay for what I used.
