Hotel Das Junior by MAX 70

We stayed at Das junior Hotel, the same as Max 70 but 100 metres away. The room was small but comfortable, with enough space, and the WiFi worked perfectly. We had to figure out for ourselves that breakfast was at the other hotel, Max 70, since nobody told us. Still, the buffet breakfast was great.

The staff were nice and friendly, but we didn’t enjoy our five-night stay. The bed was small, too soft, and bouncy. The shower pressure was very low, and the water kept switching randomly between freezing and scalding. Housekeeping was unreliable. We ran out of shower gel and it wasn’t refilled, the floors weren’t vacuumed during our stay, and a dirty cup was left while missing coffee sachets weren’t replaced. We had to keep going to reception for soap, coffee, and other things. There was no fridge in the room, though that may have been advertised.

The self check-in machine worked perfectly, and I managed to park in one of the free spaces in front of the hotel. There’s a bus stop practically outside that goes straight to Salzburg city center, or it’s about a 20-minute walk. The place was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. The room felt a little small, partly because the bathroom was relatively large, but for the price I can’t complain. No complaints from me.

The price is too high for what you get. The rooms weren’t cleaned much and didn’t look as good as they did in the ad. The manager was not cooperative at all. When you complain about something, they threaten to call the police and kick you out. If you’re planning to stay there, think twice, since they can kick you out.
