We arrived around 3 pm today. My husband went in to ask about a room, knowing that every internet booking service listed 142 euro for one with a view and balcony, breakfast included. He hadn’t made a reservation, and when he asked the hotel for its price, they asked if he had one, then quoted 180 plus 12 Euros for the dog. Don’t they know what their rooms are listed for on the booking services?

It was quiet and very clean, with a nice city view. The staff were kind, and the breakfast and food were really good. We’d definitely come back!

We’d love to return someday. It’s a quiet, comfortable hidden gem with a unique view over Salzburg, lots of parking space, and pets are welcome. There’s a nice garden pool with lovely Alpine views. The main downside is that the rooms have no AC or effective ventilation. Even with the balcony doors open, it gets very hot on a hot summer day.

We had plenty of room for our family of four, and the view and breakfast were wonderful. The walk into town was fun, though we definitely needed a taxi or Uber for the return. Taking the trail to the bus stop took about 10-15 minutes. On hot days the rooms get hot, since there are no fans or AC.

We had a lovely time at Hotel Schöne Aussicht and hope to come back. The location and views are amazing, though you need a car. Our room was super comfortable, and the restaurant was spectacular, with a daily menu offering three dishes to choose from. The staff were really friendly. We brought our 2-year-old daughter, who loved the play room with toys and the swing outside.
