The breakfast room is cosy and charming, with plenty of tasty food. This family-run B&B is in a quiet residential area near a park, about a 10-minute walk from the Central Statin. Everyone was really friendly without being intrusive. We had room number 1, which has its own entrance outside the building. We liked the extra privacy, and the window looked onto a small, very green garden that made the room feel homely. It was spacious enough for three adults, with new, comfortable beds. Each bed had a pillow, duvet, and set of towels. The bathroom was new, modern, and efficient, and we loved the shower. The door is made of painted glass and is somewhat see-through, which could be a drawback if you’re not travelling with family. We stayed just one day, but would recommend it for a visit to Salzburg. There’s a new city policy offering free travel cards to people staying at a city hotel. Ask for one and they’ll email you access.

Clean, convenient, and welcoming. Villa Flöckner seems a good fit for train travelers, couples on a city break, families needing room to spread out, or anyone who prefers modern comfort to historic luxury. The location is handy: Salzburg Hauptbahnhof is about 5-10 minutes away on foot, there’s direct trolleybus access outside, and Mirabell Gardens and the Old Town are roughly a 15-20 minute walk. Guests often praise the spotless, renovated rooms, quiet interiors despite the roadside setting, good value compared with central Salzburg hotels, and personal, helpful service from the owners and staff. The old villa architecture paired with contemporary interiors also gets a positive mention. Other appreciated features include strong showers, air conditioning, upper-floor mountain views, and family-room layouts. Breakfast is a particular highlight for many: fresh breads and pastries, eggs, pancakes, wraps, cheese, and fruit, with attentive staff and vegetarian or even vegan options. Some guests do find the choice more limited than at larger hotels. Other occasional gripes are firm mattresses, traffic noise with windows open, and bathroom privacy or sliding doors in certain rooms. The staff at reception were very polite, and the internet connection was good. My room was clean and spacious, as was the bathroom, and it came with tea and a kettle. Breakfast was good, with egg dishes available if requested. I especially liked the bio yogurt and granola with yogurt, even with fresh blueberries. There’s a supermarket nearby and it takes 15-20 minutes to walk to the center. There doesn’t seem to be an elevator, so expect to take the stairs. If I’m picking at details, a couple of hooks on the bathroom wall would be handy. It was also a little unusual that they didn’t ask for my documents at check-in.

The owner was lovely and stopped to check how we were doing and whether we needed anything. The room was spotless and a good size, with tea, coffee, and a kettle. Breakfast was good, and the station is handy, with the old town a short walk away. I’d stay here again.

The staff and owner were really attentive and kind. Thanks to Bianca and the receptionist for the useful tips. The rooms were renovated, comfortable, and spacious. P.S. breakfast was very good.
