It was quiet at night, so I slept well, and the hotel provides free breakfast. My room was cozy, comfortable, and had all the amenities I needed. Staff gave me a WhatsApp number to keep in touch, which was helpful since I didn’t have a local SIM card. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the train station, near food places, a supermarket, and buses to the old town that are free if you have the Salzburg Card. There aren’t any elevators, so be ready for the stairs.

The host was great and communication was perfect. They recommended places to visit, lent us umbrellas on our first rainy day, and were always quick to help. We had housekeeping every day, and the cleaning was spotless. I was there with my wife, and she always notices cleanliness first, so that says a lot. The floor creaked a bit, and the doors were open from 7am to 11pm. Outside those hours, we had to ask someone to open the door. Both are really minor things and don’t change my five-star rating. For the location, this was the best price.

The rooms are basic, but clean and good value. One thing to know: Google Maps gives the wrong directions from the airport, suggesting bus 180. The simplest and most frequent route is trolley bus 2 from in front of the Avis, Europcar car rental office. You don’t need a 24-hour ticket, since the hotel isn’t far from the old town. A single ticket costs 1.4 euro, while a 24-hour one costs 4 euro.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the room was small but clean and generally fine. The bathroom was brand new. One odd thing was the bed: it was made of two separate parts on wheels, and they kept rolling apart unexpectedly. Also, one of the sockets had tape over it for some reason.
