The price was good value, and the bed was comfortable. I had a balcony too, which was a nice bonus. The hotel sits by the river, with a lovely walk along it into town, about 15 minutes on foot. The staff were friendly, and I'd recommend staying here in Salzburg.

The staff at reception were polite and helpful, and the location is great. But the standard room was so small that two people couldn't open a second cabin size suitcase. I even strained my back trying to get to my luggage.

The breakfast was good and included a few vegan choices, though it cost about 18 euros per person extra. We paid 200 euros a night over a weekend, which felt like a lot for what we got. Our room was clean, and the staff were nice, but not especially helpful. They directed us to the wrong spot for the local Krampus parade, and when we raised the lack of hot water one morning, they said it had been fixed without really apologizing. The old town, where we spent most of our time, was about a 20-minute walk away. The stay at Motel One in Salzburg was okay, but no more than that.

A very comfortable bed, a hot shower, a big TV and excellent soundproofing made this one of my better hotel rooms in a while. The center was a 15-minute walk away. I only found it a little annoying that I couldn't connect to the TV for YouTube, but that's just my personal preference.

For a tourist in Salzburg, this place is hard to complain about. The rooms are spacious, it's very clean and the location is right. The only small drawback was that breakfast had nothing hot, but that's not a big deal.
