Urban Stay Salzburg City

We were there for two nights. The room was clean and good value, and the location was great. On the second day, housekeeping only topped up the shower gel. They took the used towels but left us no fresh ones, and didn’t make the beds, so it felt half done. We found out at 7pm when we got back. At checkout, the bill was higher than the invoice; I spotted it and the receptionist corrected it, otherwise we’d have been overcharged by about 30 euros or more. The stay was okay overall.

The self-service check-in was easy, and at checkout someone was available. We could also leave our luggage there. Even with limited staff, things felt well organized. Our room was quiet, clean, and had what we needed. There’s a downstairs room with cups and kettles, and shops and other places are close by. The guesthouse is in a great spot, though all the rooms are upstairs and there’s no lift.

There’s no lift, so you’ll have to carry your luggage up if your room is on an upper floor. Otherwise, the self check-in was smooth, with the details sent ahead of time, and someone may be at the desk at checkout depending on the hour. My room was clean, spacious enough for one, and nicely equipped. The pantry downstairs had a few useful basics. It’s an easy walk to the Old Town and train station, and Mirabell Palace is close too, where most day trips set off. Comfortable and good value for this location.

We were on the third floor in room 15, facing the road, so it was noisy. There’s no lift, and hauling a suitcase up 40 stairs is no fun. The room was very basic, just a bed and hanging rail. The corner shower was nice, but its doors were coming off.
