Room 5 Apartments

The location is nice and the room was clean, but the parking was an unpleasant surprise. Normal check-in is at 15:00, and the owner said we could check in at 13:30. I had parked only about an hour and a half earlier, yet they asked for an extra €7.50 for early parking, on top of the €15 per night plus tax parking fee. The room is full of warnings about extra fees and penalties, including a possible charge for bins being full. I've stayed in more than 100 hotels and apartments across many countries and never seen this before. The pillows were uncomfortable.

We stayed seven nights in two rooms, Sky lounge and Little piece of heaven. For three days there was no Wi-Fi at all. The beds and mattresses were awful in both rooms, with the mattresses being very thin and thick. In Sky lounge, on the second floor, we couldn't open the curtains because people could see right inside. Little piece of heaven had the same beds, plus just one tiny window, and so little space that we could hardly move around. We had to move to another hotel for the final night, but they said they couldn't refund that night, so we paid twice. Check that parking costs 15 euros per day.

The apartment was clean, with a comfortable bed and a clean kitchenette and bathroom. It felt like a home away from home, and the location is excellent, close to the Old Town. I'd love to stay again.

The neighbourhood was very quiet, even though the apartment is centrally located. Getreidegasse and Mönchsberg are within walking distance. We had a great time in the room-5 apartments, which were very nice and clean and had a pool.
