Cityhotel Trumer Stube

We stayed at nine hotels on this trip, and everyone in our group agreed CityHotel was the best of them. Breakfast in the cozy room was amazing. It was the only place on our trip that got a soft-boiled egg right! The hotel is small, with nicely appointed rooms that were kept meticulously clean. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Its central location makes it easy to reach excellent restaurants, the old town, public transit, tours, and shops. CityHotel is a special little gem, and we highly recommend it in Salzburg.

Breakfast alone makes us eager to return to Cityhotel Trumer Stube. The buffet had made-to-order eggs, breads and pastries, fresh fruit, cheeses, charcuterie, gourmet jams and spreads, juices, and espresso drinks. We thought the range and quality would satisfy anyone. My wife and I stayed in October 2025 and loved the hotel. It's very central and within easy walking distance of Salzburg's main attractions, yet the hotel feels peaceful because it's on a quiet street. We got a very warm welcome at reception, and our room on the fifth floor was lovely and quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom nicely equipped, and staff kindly stored our luggage when we arrived in the morning before check-in. We'd highly recommend it and look forward to coming back to magnificent Salzburg.

A pleasant place to stay if you find a good deal. The staff were friendly, the hotel is central in Salzburg and near the Christmas market, and having an elevator to the upper floors is handy. Free coffee and tea in the lounge all day was a nice touch. I skipped breakfast because it seemed too expensive for what was offered. There's no microwave, and the in-room fridges don't get very cold.

The staff were super friendly, breakfast was delicious, and our room was clean. The location was convenient, too. They let us leave our bags after checkout so we could explore Salzburg a bit longer before heading to the train station, which is only a few minutes away by Uber. Uber can pull right up to the door, and there's an elevator. My wife and I would stay here again.
