We arrived early in the evening after hours, and the key card wouldn’t open either the building or our apartment. We messaged the proprietor, who didn’t respond. More than an hour later, they reached another guest, who had access to a master key and let us in. The local manager was polite and apologetic, but the beds were hollow in the middle and extremely uncomfortable. The place felt chaotic and disorganized. The next day, we asked the proprietor for some acknowledgment and compensation. Instead of taking responsibility for the inconvenience, he brought up the Frankfurter Table, an obscure European law, and offered a meaningless amount. All it would have taken was a sensible, customer-focused response. The whole thing left a very bad impression. Now the proprietor wants to respond with misinformation. Yes, we had several flight delays before that day, which was exactly why we booked this accommodation. Blaming that for the problem only reinforces my view that he’d rather argue than own a mess caused entirely by his own disorganization. I’ll let readers decide. I did suggest he buy me a beer rather than insult me. I also suggested he offer a bottle of wine to the other guest who helped us, since the proprietor hadn’t. There’s a big credibility gap here.

The management can include mobility tickets, which made getting around Salzburg very useful for us. The hotel could fit my parents, my wife, my child, and me all in one room, which was lovely. The downside is that there’s no housekeeping, so we had to keep things tidy ourselves during our four-day stay.

The location is very good, and the place feels secure, with access cards for both the parking gate and villa entrance. The room is large and has all the kitchen amenities, plus a coffee machine and coffee. The bathroom is comfortable, with shower gel and shampoo provided. There’s private parking for an extra charge, a self-service laundry for an extra charge, and free self-service ironing. I’d recommend it, it’s worth the money.
