The private beach and location are fantastic, but the rooms are very dated and really need renovating, even though they’re clean. Stand-up paddleboarding costs extra.

Absolutely outrageous! We wanted to stay for one night and had already been told a room was available, with a meeting point agreed for handing over the key. But after speaking with the owner, we were refused the room. When we said we’d simply book it online, the room suddenly disappeared from Booking. I definitely can’t recommend this place. You could end up without a room in the evening.

This is a lovely, cozy family guesthouse, though obviously not a five-star hotel. The owners are a very friendly family and clearly want you to have a pleasant stay. The cleaning lady, however, is very unfriendly, which I don’t understand since the owner and his wife are so lovely. The rooms aren’t modern, but they’re clean, with daily service and fresh towels. Breakfast was very good, with a wide choice and fresh food. The hillside location gives you a beautiful lake view, and the private beach is about a five-minute walk away. There’s a snack bar, paddle boats, and delicious soft-serve ice cream there. For a short stay, the price is good for what you get.

The breakfast was the only part that was okay. The rooms are very basic, smell musty, and seem practically unchanged since the 1960s. Booking was unfriendly, and they required the money to be transferred before arrival. They were inflexible and unfriendly about arrival too: check-in was only possible from 4 p.m., then at 6 p.m. they asked where I was staying.
