The owner was very welcoming, and the place is quiet and nice. The rooms were clean. The only meal included in the price was a simple continental breakfast, but it tasted good.

Scharnitz is very quiet in the off-season, with only a limited choice of restaurants and supermarkets, but it’s a charming, cozy place. Finding food could be tricky at times, and our hosts helped right away. They even let us warm our own meals in the kitchen. The older couple were lovely, and our room was very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was served in a separate room and was delicious. We’d definitely recommend staying here.

We only learned after asking that the replacement accommodation would cost 60% more. We were unexpectedly moved elsewhere when we arrived. The switch itself might have been manageable, but the price increase wasn’t. I’d always book through the provider’s website instead of relying on a personal confirmation.
