Hotel Die Barbara

I’d avoid BarBarbara. We were charged more than we should have been by the waiters, and when we brought it up they were extremely arrogant. They even suggested we go to the Tenne for a drink. That tip was right: Tenne had gentle waiters, a good vibe, and good cocktails. Never again at Barbara.

A cute apartment hotel close to the center of Schladming and right beside the ski lift. The rooms were clean and spacious, the service was great, and there’s indoor parking.

I was on a bike trip, and this hotel had all the useful things I needed: a bike room, bike wash, a shower for after cycling even once I’d checked out, area maps, and a rental discount at the shop across the street. It’s literally opposite the bike park lift. The staff were kind and helpful, the service was excellent, and breakfast was delicious and generous. Thanks for a great stay. We’ll definitely return!

Breakfast was great, and the people serving it were very friendly. The rooms were nice and clean, with a great view from the front-facing ones. You’re opposite the lift and mountain, and right next to the town’s main bars. I’d suggest putting a kettle for coffee or water in the rooms so guests can make tea or coffee.
