The location was perfect, with the ski lift a five-minute walk away. But the rooms were low quality, and breakfast was very poor. We’re not picky, yet we could barely find anything to eat. That’s the main reason for my rating.

We loved our stay at Neue Post. The food was incredible: four courses at dinner each night and a full buffet breakfast. Everyone on the staff was lovely and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable, with warm, powerful showers. Right in the center of town and perfect for the ski slopes. I can’t recommend it enough.

The friendly staff all spoke English, and the hotel was clean and well kept. It’s right on the town square in the middle of Schladming. My room was nice and efficient, if nothing special. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was well stocked, enough to set you up for a day in the mountains. Dinner was simple, nice local food: soup, a salad bar, dessert, and a choice of three main courses, including one vegetarian option. I was a bit disappointed not to see knödel even once during my week there.

A spa was a lovely way to end each day, and the meals were delicious and generous. The rooms were comfortable and spacious too. It’s an excellent place for skiing or walking in this beautiful area. A delightful hotel.

The location is what makes this hotel: it’s central, beside a nice restaurant, and close to the start of the trail to the waterfalls. The room facing the street had a nice mountain view. The rooms are spacious, nicely furnished and newly done, which contrasts sharply with the old-fashioned breakfast room and the rest of the building.
