Senner Suites Zillertal

The breakfast was a real letdown. There wasn’t much variety, service was poor, and once items ran out they weren’t replaced. If you don’t arrive first, you may find a lot of things gone, and with such small amounts it’s hard to leave feeling full. I hope they improve this, because I’m very disappointed with the experience. The suite itself was clean and comfortable. We’re sensitive to bugs and mosquitoes, so make sure the windows are closed after cleaning. Otherwise, you could spend the night worrying about bites and struggle to sleep.

The location is practical, with a direct connection to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner, though there’s still some work going on in the building. Our room didn’t have a sauna, but some rooms do. The room was nicely renovated. There’s no one at reception after 7 pm, but picking up the key from a box is pretty handy, and you return it to the same box when you check out.

The private sauna in the room was the highlight. My room was very clean and well equipped, and it came with a parking space. The hotel also has useful things like an iron and a safe. It’s right at the entrance to the well-known Zillertal in Schlitters, and I keep choosing it when I’m in the area. Good value for money, so I’d clearly recommend it. One thing to know: this is an adults-only hotel and they don’t accept bookings for anyone under 18.

The staff were so friendly, and breakfast was delicious. The rooms were clean and cosy, with a sauna and a lovely peaceful view.
